Amanda is from the mitten shaped state (Michigan), where she graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S in kinesiology. Michigan State University is where she taught intro classes ranging from step aerobics to kickboxing. She likes to focus on functional exercise, and believes that we should exercise not only to improve on fitness but also to help us accomplish everyday tasks and improve our overall quality of life.
In her free time you can find Amanda outdoors running, hiking or just enjoying the scenery.

Odell currently leads spinning and water fitness group fitness classes and coaches the age group swimming program. Odell will further her responsibilities as a Fitness Instructor to help expand programming with small group training, individual training and specialize with the senior aged population. In March 2015 Odell will complete certifications as a Specialist in Senior Fitness and as a Specialist in Fitness Nutrition.
Odell competes as a US Master’s Swimmer in distance freestyle, Individual Medley events and is also a marathon runner. In her free time Odell enjoys trail running, mountain biking with her husband and son, leading waterfall tours and knitting. Odell is excited to be expanding into her new role and looks forward to helping community members set and reach their goals in fitness and wellness.

Bio: During my collegiate sports career, I gained a lot of knowledge and appreciation for how a healthy lifestyle can positively affect every aspect of one’s life. Since college I have kept up with ongoing study consisting of healthy dieting and healthy strength training. My goal is to establish a healthy lifestyle inside and outside of the gym. I apply behavior, motivation, and exercise strategies to healthy individuals and those with medically controlled diseases in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle. I dedicate myself to each session in order to tailor to the needs of my clients. I motivate them to leave their exercise comfort zone in order to achieve optimal results. I’m ready to assist you with your fitness journey!
